Contract forms IC 20-28-6-4; Applicable teachers § 4. (a) This section does not apply to teachers who are employed as substitute teachers. Amended by P.L.2-2007, SEC.218. IC 20-28-7-6 Relief rights and contractual rights of permanent and semi-permanent teachers § 6. (a) A permanent teacher who has a permanent contract under IC 20-28-6-8 may not be dismissed or the teaching contract is terminated, except as provided for in sections 1, 3, 4 and 5 of this chapter. (b) A semi-permanent teacher who has a contract of indefinite duration in accordance with CI 20-28-6-10 may not be dismissed or have the teacher`s contract terminated, except in the cases provided for in sections 2 to 5 of this chapter. (c) a school society and the contractual forms IC 20-28-6-3 of the school society; Tasks of the State Superintendent § 3. Amended by P.L.2-2006, SEC.137. IC 20-28-6-5 Regular teacher contract § 5. The teacher`s regular contract shall be used nationally without modification and, in addition to the elements of section 2(a)(3) of this chapter, shall include: (1) the type of payment of salary; and (2) any provision relating to the government of the school that the Superintendent of state understands. As added by P.L.1-2005, SEC.12. IC 20-28-6-6 Temporary teaching contract § 6. (b) The temporary teacher`s contract shall contain: (1) the provisions of the ordinary teacher`s contract, with the exception of those providing for a new mandate; (2) a space for the name of the teacher on leave that cannot be used in the contract of another temporary teacher for the same leave; and (3) an expiry date that: (A) is the date of return of the teacher on leave; and (B) no later than the end of the school year. (c) If a teacher is employed on the temporary teacher`s contract for at least sixty (60) days during a school year, the teacher may, upon request, receive the merit credit that the teacher would otherwise receive in respect of the Indiana State Teachers` Pension Fund. IC 20-28-6-2 Essential Requirements of the Contract (2) (a) A contract entered into by a teacher and a school enterprise must: (1) be in writing; (2) be signed by both parties; and (3) include: (A) the beginning of the school year as determined annually by the school corporation; (B) the number of days of the school year determined annually by the school authority; (C) the total salary payable to the teacher during the school year; (D) the number of salary payments to be paid to the teacher during the school year; and (E) the number of hours per day during which the teacher is expected to work, as discussed in accordance with IC 20-29-6-7. (b) The contract may provide for the annual determination of the teacher`s annual remuneration by means of a local salary scale which forms part of the contract. The salary scale may be modified by the school corporation not later than May 1 of each year, the changes taking effect during the following school year. Printed copies of the modified schedule must be submitted to a teacher affected by the changes no later than thirty (30) days after acceptance of the schedule. c) A contract under this article is also subject to the following laws: (1) IC 20-28-9-5 to IC 20-28-9-6. (2) CI 20-28-9-9 to CI 20-28-9-11. (3) CI 20-28-9-13. (4) CI 20-28-9-14. (d) A governing body shall provide and cause to be signed the blank contractual forms carefully formulated by the Superintendent of the State.

Costerison said Indiana schools as a whole have delayed the end of the deal with public funding for teachers` salaries approved this year. Officials shall retain a permanent or semi-permanent teacher until the teacher`s permanent contract is duly terminated. (d) In the event of a violation of subparagraphs (a), (b) or (c), the permanent or semi-permanent teacher may bring an action under the law against the competent officials of the school society in order to obtain an order requiring the officials to reinstate the teacher and to restore the full rights of the teacher as a permanent or semi-permanent teacher. (e) A conference with the Board of Trustees under this section shall be held in executive session, unless the teacher requests a public lecture. The teacher may have a representative at each conference. f) The Board of Directors shall vote on the extension of the teachers` contract no later than ten (10) days after a conference under this section. .
